Considering the lockdown condition in the country as imposed by Government of India to prevent the spread of Cover 19 panoramic in India, IRDA has postponed the implementation plan of hike in Motor Third Party premium rates as was proposed earlier in the month of March.
Other measured adopted by IRDA includes :-
Continuity of Motor Third Party and Health insurances falling due between 25th March to 14th April 2020 if renewed till 21st April.
It has been directed to accept the validity of necesary documents particularly related to Motor Insurance like Permit, Fitness, Driving Licence, Registration Certificate etc. if expired during 15th of March till return of normally.
